There used to be a time when we needed a pair of scissors to open baverage cartons. Today there are screwtops that “easily” open the carton. But what use is there if - at the end of the day - I have to use the scissors or a knife anyway?
“Everyday Usability Troubles”
World Usability Day was founded to increase the public’s awareness of the need to make the services and products important to human life easier to access and simpler to use. Activities and events will call attention to the topic of usability all over the world.
In the context of World Usability Day 2008 we started a Usability Video Contest themed „Everyday usability troubles“. Turn in your video on YouTube to gain fame and glory – and to enter the contest for the best video. The contest ends on this year’s World Usability Day on November, 13th with awarding the best videos turned in during the whole contest. For more info see participation.
